Cosmetic stand-up Stowaway are the ones with the aim to change this habit. It launched in New York last February. They are looking to rattle the make up industry, which is said to be worth $60billion. By bringing out a line of undersize cosmetics is the aim to change the bad habit of a growing collection of old make up. These are considered with the modern day woman in mind. Our lives have changed radically since the 1950’s, an era where make up began to be typically used. It’s said that 70% of the make-up industry/market is controlled by 10 businesses such as L’Oreal and LVMH. Co-founder and CEO Julie Frednekson, whom beforehand worked as digital brand manager for Ann Yaylor and created digital and brand marketing plans for the likes of Nike, Pepsi and Gap. CCO chelsa Crowley has done stints with Clinique, Bobbi Brown and Estee Lauder. The two shared same thoughts on being tired of lugging their beauty burdens from place to place, the duo put together their capability to reinvent traditional cosmetics into being more resourceful and convenient, meeting the needs of women on the go.
